After completing your purchase, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download your files. You’ll need to have a hosting account established and a WordPress site installed. From there, you can visit our Tutorials to take you through the steps of installing your child theme and customizing your site. Any how-to steps not found within the tutorials on this site can almost certainly be found on the Elegant Themes blog or within the Divi community.
Nope! That said, these themes do utilize code to give them a little extra oomph. When making updates to match your branding (colors, fonts, etc) there is the occasional need to update the code as well, but I provide full instruction on how to do this. If you want to add to or modify the code beyond what is instructed, that is entirely up to you, but please note it may affect the level of support I’m able to provide for uh-ohs.
Our child themes can be changed in almost any capacity and/or to the extent that you feel comfortable. Any brand-related content (fonts, colors, logo, imagery, etc) are easily updated. You can also add/delete pages, move sections around, duplicate content, and more. If you’re more experienced with web design (or you simply want to give it a go), you can add additional modules, custom code, add a blog or even a WooCommerce shop.
Yes, a shop can be added using the WooCommerce plugin and the Divi Builder can be used to customize every aspect. At this time, I am not able to provide support for implementing this; however, the beauty of the WordPress and Divi community is that there is a multitude of resources out there to instruct on this and even ready-to-go shop templates.
Absolutely! Blogging is a mainstay of the WordPress platform and the Divi Builder offers the tools you need to create a blog that matches your branding. At this time, I am not able to provide support for implementing this; however, the beauty of the WordPress and Divi community is that there are a multitude of resources out there to instruct on this and even ready-to-go blog templates.
The child theme can be used on any WordPress site that uses Divi as a parent theme.
Divi is the most popular WordPress theme in the world and comes with the ultimate WordPress page builder. The builder includes 60+ modules enabling users to create spectacular designs with surprising ease and efficiency. It is essential to have Divi installed as your parent theme when using any of the Web Boutique child themes.
If you choose the Self-Installation option when buying a Web Boutique child theme, then Divi must be purchased separately through ElegantThemes.com. If you purchase the Installation Assistance option, you will receive a current version of Divi installed on your site but you will not have your own license. It is recommended that you purchase your own license for best performance. Divi will be functional on your site but you will not have access to support from Elegant Themes or receive product updates which can create issues over time.
Yes! There are a few pages on the Divi site I recommend checking out to get a feel for all that Divi has to offer:
Get an overview of Divi here. This page will take you through the multitude of features that come with Divi along with brief video introductions. You’ll quickly get a sense that Divi is committed to continually releasing product features and enhancements to improve workflow and performance.
Get acquainted with the content modules within Divi here. Content modules are how you create and build within Divi. You can click on any of the icons to get more info about that specific module.
Take Divi for a test drive here. As you hover over the different parts of the page you’ll notice frames appear that you can click on, open, and edit live on the page! Look for the purple circle at the bottom center of the screen and click on that to expand additional settings.
Divi offers two membership options, Yearly or Lifetime Access. I recommend the Lifetime membership as it is a fantastic deal that comes with lifetime updates, lifetime support, and unlimited website usage. The Yearly membership offers all the same benefits but only as long as you continue to renew. If you are price-conscious, a workaround is to purchase the Yearly membership and opt out of renewal (paying for a single year). Your Divi theme will continue to function, but you lose access to product updates and support. The product updates can become an issue over time so this is not advisable. For this reason, support for my themes is only applicable to sites with active Divi memberships. If you’re not sure which is right for you, Divi comes with a 30-day risk-free guarantee.
No, the theme is built explicitly for use with Divi by Elegant Themes.
A web hosting company functions to store all the files that comprise your website and deliver them to end users in the form of a website. Divi partners with leading companies in the WordPress Hosting industry to bring you the most reliable, Divi-compatible hosting including SiteGround, Pressable, Flywheel, and Cloudways. You can learn more about these options HERE. Please note that if you use a host other than those listed here, it may affect the level of support I’m able to provide.
I personally recommend SiteGround for a great intersection of performance and affordability. Bluehost is another name you’ll likely encounter for its affordability but in my experience, it comes with some trade-off. Whoever you choose, just make sure they make it easy to implement WordPress.
A web domain or URL is the web address where people find you online (e.g. “thewebboutique.co”). You’ll need to purchase your domain from a registrar of your choosing. GoDaddy and Google Domains are two popular examples.
When you’re ready to connect your domain to your website, check with your web host for specific instructions. You can typically find this information documented online but you can also contact them for support.
Please note that I do not provide support for connecting your domain to your site.
Due to the digital nature of my products, they cannot be returned and I do not offer refunds without exception. Please feel free to email me if you have any specific questions about the products before you make a purchase at hello@thewebboutique.co.
The child theme comes with a single-use license, allowing you to use it on one personal or commercial project. Copying, selling, redistributing the files, or sharing it with others is not allowed. Using the theme to make additional websites is also prohibited. If you wish to create additional sites using the same theme, please contact me directly to purchase a multi-site license at hello@thewebboutique.co.
Yes! Just select the Installation option when making your purchase. Please note, if you utilize my installation services, your site will be hosted on SiteGround.
In some cases, yes, but I’ll need a few details first. Contact me at hello@thewebboutique.co to discuss your needs further.
You can find all our tutorials in the Tutorials section of our website.
I offer 30 days of unlimited support for verified purchases for any questions related to installing or modifying your new child theme. Support does not include help with WordPress or Divi that does not directly relate to the implementation of your theme. Support hours are Monday–Friday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Eastern Time with some exceptions during holidays and personal time.
If you need to reach me, please send an email to hello@thewebboutique.co.
